The car rolled over and partially ejected the woman from the vehicle as she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and she was pronounced dead at the scene. ROSEVILLE, MI – Westbound I-94 is closed in Roseville after a six-vehicle crash that resulted in a fuel spill. Michigan State Police responded to the crash, which occurred on the well-traveled highway near 12 Mile Road at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Ultimately, the semi-truck jack knifed and caused a six-vehicle crash, police said. The semi-truck spilled more than 150 gallons of diesel fuel on the freeway during the crash, causing a hazmat situation and a large cleanup process. The freeway remains closed for cleanup.

ROSEVILLE, MI – An 18-month-old child is in critical condition after ingesting heroin allegedly belonging to the child’s mother. The mother, a 31-year-old Roseville woman, was arrested at the scene Saturday, July 23, according to the Michigan State Police Metro Detroit Post. The trooper immediately called for EMS and backup and did a sternum rub on the child. Police said the child ingested some heroin and was administered a dose of Narcan. The child then began breathing much better, but was rushed to the hospital where she is in the pediatric intensive care unit listed in critical status.

Troopers said the mother was found to be in possession of 15 doses of powder heroin, which she tried to hide during the investigation.

The northbound and southbound Gratiot Avenue (M-3) ramps to westbound I-94 will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on July 26 as part of the M-3 rebuilding project.

Kimora Launmei Hodges, 21, of Roseville, was initially charged with first-degree child abuse. Now that the child has died, the charges have been enhanced to felony murder, WDIV Local 4 reports. After her arrest, she admitted to detectives that she had physically abused the child, the report said. It was initially reported that the boy was 11 months old.

ROSEVILLE, MI – An 11-month-old boy has died after alleged abuse by his babysitter last week, police said. The MCSO was asked to investigate the shooting after Frank Robles, 57, of Roseville was killed in the altercation. As the officers approach the scene, Lee asks Robles if he’s OK while noticing Robles was holding a knife. Both Lee and the other officer instructed Robles to drop the knife, but he did not comply. When Robles again refuses to comply with directions to drop the knife, Lee fired a handful of shots, striking Robles.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says nine total shots were fired in the incident, all from the male officer’s weapon. The first shot was fired 15 seconds after the male officer arrived on the scene.

ROSEVILLE, MI -- The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office says a man who was fatally shot by a Roseville police officer Tuesday morning brandished a knife at officers and did not comply with requests to drop the weapon. According to a press release from the MCSO, the deceased has been identified as 53-year-old Frank Robles of Roseville. When Roseville police officers arrived on the scene, they found Robles in the road with a knife in his hand. As the officer retreated, Robles continued to charge at him and the officer opened fire on Robles. The 65-year-old driver of the semi truck involved in the initial crash was not injured in the incident.

DETROIT – A Michigan woman is charged with murder after allegedly shooting a woman in the head when an argument escalated, officials said. Danique Golder, 24, of Roseville, is charged in the fatal shooting of Takeisha Williams, 24, of Trenton, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced. Detroit police officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, to a residence on the 15420 block of Vaughan Street in Detroit, according to a news release from the prosecutor’s office. Officers found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Medics arrived on the scene and transported her to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A gunman fired more than 100 rounds in his suburban Minneapolis neighborhood, seriously wounding a police officer before the suspect was shot and later died, police said Wednesday. Officers in Roseville responded to a report of shots fired around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and encountered a chaotic scene as they immediately came under fire, Police Chief Erika Scheider said during a briefing. ROSEVILLE, MI – Two men were arrested after they allegedly robbed a bank and then crashed their get-away vehicle on Thursday, March 9, WXYZ Detroit reports. A 53-year-old St. Clair Shores man allegedly demanded cash from a teller at the Christian Financial Credit Union on Utica Road in Roseville on Thursday morning, the report said. After receiving funds, the suspect got into a white van driven by a 52-year-old man from Detroit. Officers with the St. Clair Shore Police Department located the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on I-94. The suspects then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

ROSEVILLE, MI -- A 25-year-old Farmington Hills man was arraigned Wednesday on charges of second-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and a felony firearm violation after he allegedly shot and killed a bouncer at Dooley’s Tavern Saturday night. It’s alleged that Altman-Tucker opened fire in the bar as Bing was trying to remove him from the venue shortly before midnight Saturday. Bing was shot multiple times in the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. A woman who also in the bar was allegedly shot by Altman-Tucker as well, but she is expected to survive. Police say the owners of the bar have decided to close permanently as this latest shooting marks the second fatal shooting at the bar since 2019.

ROSEVILLE, MI -- Dooley’s Tavern will not reopen following a fatal shooting that took place at the bar Saturday night. Julius Bing, 36, was working as a bouncer at the bar Saturday when just before midnight he was attempting to remove a customer from the venue. Bing was transported to a nearby hospital following the shooting, but was pronounced dead. Bing was working the night of the other fatal shooting at the bar, when in 2019 someone was killed in a bathroom. A 25-year-old Farmington Hills man was arrested following Bing’s shooting and is expected to be arraigned on charges later this week related to Bing’s death.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, the victim -- identified by police only as Julius -- was removing the suspect from the bar when the suspect produced a firearm and shot Julius multiple times. Another person in the bar was shot by the suspect, but is expected to recover. Police say the suspect was fighting with staff while being removed before he pulled out the handgun and began firing it. Layla Connors was injured while in the care of Dennis Wayne Justus, 28, police said. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was pronounced dead on Dec. 19. He was arraigned Tuesday in the 39th District Court on charges of involuntary manslaughter, the report said. His bond was set at $300,000; if released he will be required to wear a GPS monitoring device.

A Minnesota man suspected of having a role in last week's shooting at the Mall of America that left two people wounded has been arrested, police said Monday. Authorities in the Twin Cities suburb of Bloomington say the 19-year-old St. Paul man was arrested in Roseville Sunday afternoon. Roseville is about 15 miles (24 kilometers) from Bloomington.

A Northern California man who confessed to killing his wife and three children was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole. Investigators in Placer County said Shankar Hangud, 55, confessed to killing his family members over the span of several days across two Northern California counties in October 2019, saying he couldn’t provide for them financially, KCRA-TV reported. Placer County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Penney called it a “horrific crime” where no victims were alive to speak as he sentenced Hangud to three life prison terms.

ROSEVILLE, MI – A mother allegedly refused to turn her three children over to their father after he won custody, spirited them away and went into hiding, FOX 2 Detroit reports. It took police more than three weeks to track down the mother and children, the report said. The Roseville Police Department initially put out an alert for the missing children on July 8. Ruth Amo, 32, was ordered by a Macomb County court last month to turn over the children after their father was awarded custody, police said. After they were found, the children were turned over to child protective services while their father was on his way to pick them up, police said.

After spending the last four years at the helm of the Roseville boys basketball program, Nizam was formally introduced on Tuesday as the new men’s basketball coach at Macomb Community College. Although the move to Macomb Community College is small in distance -- just less than three miles from Roseville High -- Nizam is making his first step into the college coaching ranks. I think we left it in a spot where someone has a chance to step in and be successful right away.”In his four years at Roseville, Nizam helped turn the Roseville program into a Macomb Area Conference contender. “Everybody knows what we’re about and we’re going to push kids to be great,” Nizam said. “We’ve got five kids playing basketball at the next level and we’ve had 21 seniors graduate in our program,” Nizam said.

ROSEVILLE, MI -- Details are limited but police say a woman is listed in critical condition after a T-bone crash Monday night by a man fleeing from undercover police. According to WDIV-Detroit, the accident occurred on 12 Mile and Hayes roads. Police say a male suspect was being pursued by undercover Warren police officers along westbound 12 Mile Road when the man hit the woman’s car. The identities of the injured woman and the male suspect were not released by police.
