Cesar Chavez Solidarity Walk hopes to further unite Saginaw
SAGINAW, MI— For 17 years, Saginaw has held a luncheon celebrating and honoring the life and work of civil rights activist and American labor leader Cesar Chavez. At 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the Delta College downtown Saginaw campus parking lot on North Jefferson Avenue and Johnson Street, those looking to join the Cesar Chavez Solidarity Walk will gather to travel just under a mile in unity. During the walk, Stricker said loudspeakers will play a series of Chavez’s historical speeches, before hearing from guest speaker, John Ayala. Unity Walk held each year from which he drew his inspiration for the Solidarity Walk.
