AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Construction on the I-75 bridge over the Clinton River in Auburn Hills will require lane closures until early December due to weather and unanticipated work, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Due to the summer and falls heavy rainfall, in addition to this past springs consistent rain, higher-than-normal water levels have been reported in the Clinton River.
Scour protection measures and repair to the bridges substructure have required added design work and repairs, according to MDOT.
Additionally, the westbound M-59 ramp to southbound I-75 and the southbound I-75 ramp to eastbound M-59 will remain closed as a safety precaution, according to MDOT.
Construction on I-75 includes repairing 21 bridges between South Boulevard and Baldwin Road in Auburn Hills and the resurfacing of both directions of the highway between South Boulevard and Griddings Road.
