Detroit family home continues to get hit by cars speeding off Lodge Freeway
DETROIT โ For decades now the home of Camille Lewis has been the final destination for cars going way too fast while exiting the Lodge Freeway. Thatโs my grandparentsโ house and since I can remember, somebody always runs into our house,โ said Lewis. The home is a family house with children inside, so the residents have been pressuring the city to do something. The good news is that theyโre both currently working to redesign the ramp to keep this from happening more. Police say the man was speeding on the Lodge Freeway near 8 Mile inside of a Dodge Charger. DETROIT โ A man on parole was arrested and jailed Friday after speeding 155 mph in a 55 mph driving zone. Police say the man was speeding on the Lodge Freeway near 8 Mile inside of a Dodge Charger. He was arrested for reckless driving and is being held in the Detroit Detention Center while the Wayne County Prosecutorโs Office reviews the case. After searching the manโs vehicle police found a loaded handgun inside of it.

25-year-old man killed in single-car crash on Lodge Freeway in Detroit
DETROIT โ A 25-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning when his vehicle crashed on the southbound side of the Lodge Freeway (M-10) at the Wyoming Avenue exit ramp. Michigan State Police said troopers were dispatched about 2:55 a.m. Thursday to the Wyoming Avenue exit ramp. A preliminary investigation found the manโs vehicle had been traveling south on the Lodge Freeway when he failed to negotiate the curve at Wyoming Avenue. He proceeded straight into the exit ramp, jumping the curb and crossing the berm, police said. The vehicleโs excessive speed launched it across the berm and over the entrance ramp, crashing into the berm on the other side.
Michigan State Police investigating I-94 road rage shooting in Detroit
DETROIT โ A stretch of I-94 was closed down Sunday night due to an investigation into a shooting on the freeway. According to authorities, the victim was driving eastbound on I-94 between Woodward Avenue and I-75 at about 6:45 p.m. when another vehicle performed a brake check before firing shots. Police said the suspect vehicle exited at Van Dyke. Eastbound I-94 between the Lodge Freeway and Woodward Avenue was closed as officers investigated. On Monday morning, state police said the suspect vehicle was found and individuals were taken into custody.

Man jumps from overpass to Lodge Freeway to escape shooting
DETROIT โ A man lept from an overpass onto the Lodge Freeway on Detroitโs west side Sunday to escape someone shooting at him. Police said the man was driving a gray Pontiac Torrent to get away from the Jeep, but his vehicle crashed near the southbound side of the freeway. The man lept onto the freeway and was still able to run after the drop down. 48-year-old man in critical condition after hit-and-run on Detroitโs west side
DETROIT โ Police are looking for the driver of a gray minivan after the vehicle struck a 48-year-old man on Detroitโs west side Saturday. The man was crossing the street in the 12900 block of Puritan Avenue, just west of the Lodge Freeway, when the van -- traveling westbound -- struck him.
