Cool, calm, and breezy weekend ahead in Metro Detroit
We’re heading into a calm, but cool weekend.
TONIGHT:
Skies will range from partly cloudy to mostly clear. Westerly winds will be 10 to 15 mph with a few gusts up to 25 mph. Expect lows in the mid 30s to 40 degrees.
TOMORROW (SATURDAY):
It will be noticeably cooler and breezy. Under a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures will only peak around 50 degrees. A stray shower will be possible, but most areas will stay dry. That slight chance will primarily be over the Thumb. Westerly winds will be 8 to 16 mph with gusts near 30 mph during the daytime. At night, chilly air will push lows to the lower to mid 30s.
SUNDAY:
A high-pressure system will influence our weather and allow for abundant sunshine. Breezy conditions will continue. Temperatures will be in the mid to 60 degrees. With mostly clear skies, lows will be in the lower to mid 30s.
The potential of patchy frost on Saturday and Sunday nights may require tender or sensitive plants to be covered in traditionally cooler places, such as the Thumb.
WORKWEEK:
Monday will be mostly sunny with highs near 60 degrees. Lows will be in the mid 40s.
A low-pressure system will move into the Great Lakes region and bring wet and breezy weather for Tuesday. Highs will be around 60 degrees and lows will fall to the upper 30s.
The rain will clear out for Wednesday. It will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s and lows in the lower to mid 30s.
The NFL Draft will kickoff on Thursday in Downtown Detroit. The forecast puts high temperatures in the lower to mid 50s for Thursday and milder weather for next Friday through Sunday.
