Our 4Warn Weather Alert continues through Wednesday due to where the forecast temperatures and wind chills will go. High pressure will build into the region out of the midwestern United States into the Eastern Seaboard by Wednesday acting as our “cold pump” keeping temperatures well below average. Most of the region starting off with temperatures anywhere between -3° to -10° for an air temperature, but once you factor in the wind, widespread wind chills of -15° to -20° are commonplace, so bundle up if you do have to go outside this morning.

With that, we will get some much colder air moving into the region, so we will keep a clouds into the forecast as we work through the day on Wednesday.

Once we get into the second half of the week, it looks like a weak disturbance moves into the region by the time we get to Thursday, so we will keep the chance of some snow showers into the forecast, before the dry weather sticks around into the end of the week and start of next weekend. It does look like we will have enough moisture to keep some cloud cover around, so expect mostly cloudy skies both Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures will be on a warming trend by the time we get to the second half of next week, and we will climb out of the freezer pretty quick as well. High temperatures will warm into the 20s for Thursday and Friday with overnight lows into the teens. Then, it looks like we will climb into the lower 30s, right around the freezing mark by the time we get to the first part of next weekend on Saturday.

We will keep the cloud cover into the forecast looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday, also with a chance of snow showers as we watch another disturbance move into the region. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected outside of the snow showers, high temperatures heading back into the upper 20s by Sunday afternoon.

We will keep the cloud cover into the forecast looking ahead into the start of next week. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected. High temperatures warming out of the upper 20s, back into the lower 30s by the time we get to Tuesday.
