A colder-than-normal stretch is settling in across Southeast Michigan after a brief warmup that pushed highs into the mid-60s on Saturday.
Monday
Monday will feel much more like late fall, with highs only reaching the lower- to mid-40s. The average high is in the upper-40s.
Clear skies overnight will also allow temperatures to tumble into the upper-20s by Monday morning. With west-northwest winds continuing to gust at times, wind chills are expected to dip into the 20s — and even the teens in some spots as students head to school — making for a very chilly start to the workweek.
Tuesday
Despite the cold, sunshine returns Monday, offering a bright but brisk day. A mix of rain and snow is possible Tuesday morning, particularly before 10 a.m., before transitioning to light rain showers during the afternoon. Highs near 40 degrees will reinforce the early-week chill.
Looking Ahead
Multiple rounds of wet weather follow through the rest of the week. Rain is possible Thursday afternoon and becomes more likely Thursday night into Friday. Temperatures will gradually moderate and rebound toward normal by late week, with highs climbing to 50 degrees or higher Thursday through the weekend. Saturday and Sunday look mild overall, with at least partial sunshine Sunday and another shot of gusty winds.
After a temperature roller coaster, Metro Detroiters can expect a return to more typical mid-November weather — though not without several interruptions from rain.
