4WARN WEATHER ALERT: We’ve declared a 4Warn Weather Alert for both Saturday and Sunday as we’re looking at our first significant snowfall moving into the region as we end the Thanksgiving Holiday this weekend.

County-by-county snow expectations
These are projections through Sunday afternoon:
- Wayne County: 3-6 inches
- Macomb County: 3-6 inches
- Oakland County: 4-7 inches (higher in northern Oakland Co.)
- Washtenaw County: 6-8 inches
- Livingston County: 6-8 inches
- Lapeer County: 4-6 inches
- Monroe County: 3-5 inches
- St. Clair County: 3-5 inches
- Sanilac County: 4-6 inches
SATURDAY MORNING: Cloudy skies, cold temperatures. A dry start to the day before the snow moves into the region.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Snow overspreads the region from west to east; everyone should see snow by 3:00-4:00 PM.
SATURDAY EVENING/SATURDAY NIGHT: Snow likely for everyone. Potential for heavy snow does exist. Where heavy snow does fall, snowfall rates could be as high as 1″ per hour.
SUNDAY MORNING: Snow likely. Parts of Eastern Wayne, Eastern Monroe, and Eastern Macomb Counties could see a brief transition over to a rain/snow wintry mix before changing back over to snow, before winding down and ending.
Most of the area should see 4-6 inches of snow by the end.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON: A few flakes/isolated snow shower possible thanks to Northwesterly flow kicking in, blowing and drifting of snow possible with winds gusting to 25-30 MPH by Sunday as well.
