After a very wintry day on Wednesday with most of the region looking at accumulating snow, and a little bit of rain shower activity before temperatures fell, and a little bit of snow for some in the afternoon, we’re going to keep the chance of a few snowflakes and cold temperatures into the forecast looking ahead into the day on Thursday.
Looking ahead into our Thursday will keep cloud cover in the forecast, but as a northwesterly flow kicks in bringing colder air into the region, we will see the chance for a few flakes or a few snow showers. Thanks to that lake effect fetch. High temperatures will remain colder, only into the upper end of the 20s by the time we get to Thursday afternoon.
Snow chances returned to the forecast by the time we get to the end of the week on Friday, and the first part of the weekend on Saturday. High temperatures will get colder looking ahead into the end of the week and start of the weekend. Expect high temperatures into the upper 20s on Friday, then dropping into the middle 20s by the time we get to the first part of next weekend on Saturday.
Overnight low temperatures Sunday morning and into next Monday morning will drop into the single digits, which means we could see wind chill temperatures at or below zero both mornings. Some places could see wind chills as low as -10° to -15°.
We do break into some sunshine by the end of the weekend on Sunday, but the clouds increase as we look ahead to the start of next week on Monday and Tuesday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected both days, and we start to warm up a bit. High temperatures warming into the mid-20s on Monday, heading into the upper 20s to lower 30s by Tuesday.
That warming trend continues, looking ahead into the middle of next week on Wednesday. But we will bring in the chance of rain showers by Wednesday. High temperatures continue to warm up, heading into the mid to upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon.
