Chilly temperatures, light snow expected this weekend in Metro Detroit

Saturday highs in lower 40s; Sunday highs in upper 30s

4Warn Weather – Wind, thunderstorms, fog, and now snow. It’s been a buffet of weather this week.

Heading into the weekend, we have a Wind Advisory in effect until 9 p.m. Friday night for most of Metro Detroit, with winds gusting up to 45mph.

One good thing about the wind is that it’s helped mix out most of the fog.

Saturday

A quiet, but chilly start to the weekend with temps staying in the 30s most of Saturday, briefly touching 40 in a few areas.

Sunday

Saturday night into Sunday, light snow showers develop, with an accumulation of about a half-inch to an inch.

Next week

A cold start to the work week with highs in the 30s, but another warm up follows by Wednesday.
