4Warn Weather - Parts of Southeast Michigan saw spotty showers and heard a few rumbles of thunder Saturday, but most remained dry. High pressure keeps skies clear into the first part of Sunday before rain chances return.
Tonight temperatures will drop into the mid 50s to low 60s.
We’ll have a lighter breeze out of the northwest with mostly clear conditions.
That leads to a sunny start to Sunday ahead of increasing afternoon cloud cover. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
Rain looks to move in during the evening hours.
Rain could be heavy at times overnight into early Monday.
A few storms may be strong later Sunday into Monday, and the Storm Prediction Center has placed the southwestern side of our viewing area under a Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) for severe weather during that time frame.
Southeast Michigan will continue to have the chance for rain later Monday as well. There are Marginal and Slight (level 2 out of 5) risks for severe weather Monday afternoon and evening.
Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats with any strong storms that develop.
Although we’ll have the chance for rain and thunderstorms into the midweek, temperatures will stay warm. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 80s before we see more low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.
