A beautiful morning for the Race for the Cure in Downtown Detroit ahead of a mainly dry Saturday across Metro Detroit, although isolated showers are possible later this afternoon, especially closer to the Michigan-Ohio state line. Most locations will remain dry with temperatures reaching the low 80s.
Sunday will bring another mostly quiet day, but scattered showers could develop Sunday afternoon, primarily north of I-69. Highs will again reach the low 80s.
A noticeable change arrives Sunday night as high pressure and cooler air settle over Southeast Michigan. Temperatures will tumble into the 40s, making for a chilly start at the bus stop Monday morning.
Multiple waves of showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through Thursday, bringing a much more unsettled pattern to the region next week.
