A warmer and muggier day is ahead across Southeast Michigan, with partly sunny skies and highs back in the 80s. The added warmth and humidity will help fuel scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day.
An isolated severe thunderstorm is possible, with the main window for stronger storms coming along a cold front from about 4 p.m. to midnight. A Marginal Risk for severe weather is in place mainly south and west of I-94. The primary concern will be a stronger storm producing gusty or damaging winds.
A chance for showers lingers into Wednesday, with showers becoming more numerous again Wednesday night and Thursday as the unsettled pattern continues. Conditions finally turn quieter Friday, with dry weather and temperatures near average.
