Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown goes undercover, surprises workers at Henry Ford Health

‘My son is going to flip his lid!’

DETROIT – Some Henry Ford Health employees received the surprise of a lifetime recently.

Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been going undercover as part of a new campaign for hospital recruitment.

When he’s not racking up catches and yards, St. Brown has been going undercover as “Josh” at Henry Ford Hospital.

He has surprised team members on the loading dock, food service workers and registered nurses.

Kaitlyn Zuidema and Nadia Robinson are both registered nurses at Henry Ford and big Lions fans.

“We literally watch so much football,” Zuidema said. “Both our families watch so much football.”

“We have a huge inflatable Lions helmet on my front porch,” Robinson said. “I have Lions jerseys everywhere.”

And yet, they had no idea who they were talking to.

Looking back on the experience they couldn’t help but laugh, but Robinson got emotional too because it led to a chance connection for her son and his favorite player.

It was a Facetime call the family will never forget.

“I made my son’s day,” Robinson said. “It was surreal.”
