DETR – Today is a big day -- Our Go 4 It event Rescue Ready Overdose Training.
I spent a day last week at The Mariner’s Inn in Detroit. The organization has a long history of working with those battling addiction and the work they do is very impressive. They arranged for us to meet with three men who were all in recovery and who had all been saved because of Narcan.

I will admit I don’t know much about addiction. I have never struggled with it personally. I knew this was a great opportunity to learn. These men were so open and so willing to share their stories. It impressed me beyond belief.
This was deeply personal information. They would not have been here today had it not been for Narcan. The medicine saved their life. They decided to talk on camera because they didn’t want anyone else to suffer they way they have.
They know firsthand how critical Narcan training is for everyone. At our event today you will not only get this critical training you will also get a rescue kit (a $40 value) for free just in case you need it.

Addiction can be overwhelming. These men lost their job, their families and essentially their lives. They are survivors and I’m so thankful they helped educate me and hopefully you
You can watch their story here and learn more about our training today. You can still sign up or drop in today at WCCC in Taylor. I hope to see you there.
