Indulge in great food and explore Detroit’s rich history! On Fridays and Saturdays throughout Summer, the Ford Piquette Plant will have local food trucks onsite. Attendees can take advantage of free parking and have the option to enjoy admission to this National Historic Landmark.
Motor City Origins Tour
Friday, August 9th from 5:30pm-7:30pm
Enjoy a special, after-hours tour of the Ford Piquette Plant Museum that explores the history of Detroit’s Milwaukee Junction neighborhood, where The Motor City got its start. This event will highlight how Ford, Dodge, Cadillac, Studebaker, Anderson Electric and others launched Detroit as the automotive capital of the world. The evening starts out with a complimentary Happy Half-Hour and small bites, followed by a theater presentation and then guided tour of the museum’s rare collection of antique vehicles made in Milwaukee Junction after the turn of the 20th century.
