Experience Black History Month through art

One way you can experience Black History Month this February is through art. There is currently an exhibit in Downtown Detroit that gives students and artists an opportunity to interact and share their art.

Artists ChrisLynn Washington-Hardy and Robert O’Banner appeared on “Live in the D” to talk about the exhibit.

The “Celebrate Black Art” exhibit features 23 student and 10 established artists all from Detroit who show and share their art.

When talking about being apart of the exhibit O’Banner said, “We all bring something to the table on the student-side and the emerging-side.” Washington-Hardy said, “The reason I wanted to be apart of it was more so for exposure.”
