You can put on your walking shoes and start shopping to score a deal during a special event in Birmingham this weekend.
Over 90 different merchants will be participating in the Day on the Town shopping event, said Erika Bassett, the executive director with the Birmingham Shopping District. The sidewalk sales have deep discounts and can even be on some big brand name items.
There will be discounts of up to 70% off merchandise, Bassett explained. She mentioned that shoppers can find apparel, home furnishings and more.
The special event will also include food trucks, entertainment and activities for kids.
Day on the Town will be held this Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
