ROYAK OAK, Mich. – Instead of fruits, veggies, and flowers, the Royal Oak Farmers Market will be filled with art and creativity this week. It’s all part of the Royal Oak Market: Art Fair Edition.
The fair is produced by The Guild of Artists and Artisans and will include 60 jury-selected artists with artwork ranging from jewelry to painting and beyond.
Ceramic artist Genevieve Vanzandt is among those who will be showcasing their work. Vanzandt explained that she hand builds and carves all of the details in her artwork, which she calls nature and fantasy-inspired. While appearing on “Live In The D”, Vanzandt demonstrated a special technique she uses to create her ceramic floral wall pieces.
In addition to highlighting artwork from Vanzandt and other artists, the event will also feature cocktails, beer, wine, and live music.
The Royal Oak Market: Art Fair Edition will be held inside the Royal Oak Farmers Market on Thursday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Watch the video above to learn more about the event and to see some of Vanzandt’s artwork.
