Expert uses ancient therapy to help cope with stress

At the Bloom Transformation Center in Downtown Detroit, there’s a lot of relaxing going on, and what’s helping people relieve stress has been around a long time.

“It dates back 40,000 years,” said Dr. Rose Moten, Owner of the center. She’s talking about sound healing which is traditionally called a Sound Bath. She said because you’re literally bathed in energetic frequencies and vibrations, it feels like a bath.

For nearly 8 years Dr. Moten, who’s a clinical Psychologist, has been holding Sound Bath Therapy classes and said studies have shown that the therapy has proven to return people back to a state of emotional and physical wellness. It’s all done by using a variety of sound methods.
