Lions fans are ready for the team take on the Commanders

Teams will play Saturday night at Ford Field

The matchup is set, and the excitement is heating up for the Lions’ first game of the playoffs. The Lions will play the Washington Commanders this Saturday night at Ford Field.

The playoff game has fans buzzing, and to talk about it all, “Live In The D” host Tati Amare and guest host Mike Young were joined by Jason Hall with RiDetroit and Ben Bell from “Detroit Sports+”, which you can watch Mondays at 2 p.m. on Local 4+.

First, the group talked about the matchup between the Lions and Commanders.

“I think I’m like most of Detroiters and I’m just so relieved that we’re playing Washington and not Matthew Stafford again and the Minnesota Vikings again. It’s a fresh, new matchup.” Ben said. “I’m really looking forward to it because the Lions match up well with Washington.”

Meanwhile, Jason said he wanted to play Stafford and the Rams, instead.

It’s certainly been an exciting season for the Lions, so next, the group talked about their most memorable moments of the season.

For Jason, it was the team’s first win after Hutchinson was injured.

“Our team won with the team that we had, that for me, cemented our destiny and what’s happening,” Jason said.

Ben said his favorite moment was the second time the Lions beat the Vikings this season.

“The Lions are the team that knocks now,” Ben said. “They’re the team that you have to be afraid of, and what a time to be alive.”
