If you’re planning for retirement, having a roadmap could help you navigate retirement successfully.
Anna Christine, a partner with retirement planning firm Golden Reserve, appeared on “Live In The D” to share some advice about planning for retirement. She started by talking about taxes.
“If you have money in IRAs, in 401Ks, it’s incredibly important to know that you’re going to be taxed on that in retirement. It’s often the largest overlooked debt in retirement,” Christine said.
Next, Christine talked about being aware of fees, such as investment fees, which she said are often hidden in your portfolio. She also mentioned market risks.
“Controlling market risk can really provide you a safe and secure retirement, and a lot of folks don’t make any adjustments and then that leaves them in the lurch if we experience a downturn in the market,” Christine said.
