This upscale Downtown Detroit sports bar is not your average

There’s a special room that pays homage to a Detroit Lions legend

The excitement for the Detroit Lions first playoff game of the season fills the air throughout the city and beyond. Some my have the luxury of attending the game this Saturday, but most will catch it on TV. If you’re looking for a place to watch the match up between Washington and the boys in Honolulu Blue, how about a place with ties to the team?

Parlay, located in Downtown Detroit, may be co-owned by former Lions player Joique Bell, but it’s not your average sports bar. “It’s a place for people who love sports, but also love good food...we have an elevated menu,” Bell said. That menu includes, lobster, lamb chops, steak, and more. They also have your typical bar food, wings, burgers, and sandwiches, but with an upscale appeal.

Bell stopped by “Live in the D” to chat about the dishes and more about what Parlay offers, including the members only “Barry” lounge, that pays homage to former Lions running back Barry Sanders.
