Are you following travel etiquette?

From attire to switching seats on the plane

The next time you hop on a flight, you might want to consider travel etiquette. It turns out there are some unwritten rules when it comes to traveling.

To talk about it all, friends of “Live In The D” joined host Tati Amare and guest host Lauren Crocker for What’s The Buzz. Comedian Mike Bonner weighed in on the topic, along with Gwen Jimmere, the CEO of Naturalicious and host of “The Get Money Show” podcast.

First, the group talked about what’s considered appropriate travel attire. The conversation was sparked by Spirit Airlines’ recent changes that ban passengers from wearing certain clothing or having body art that’s obscene, lewd, or offensive. Mike was supportive of the ban on obscene tattoos and mentioned that when traveling you’re around families and children. Gwen and Lauren weren’t on board with the idea of prohibiting certain tattoos.

Next, the group talked about whether it’s okay to ask someone to switch seats with someone on a plane. Gwen said it depends on how you ask, and how you react if the person says no. Gwen said she’s asked to switch seats in the past. Mike shared that he recently moved his seat to accommodate a couple that asked him.

The conversation also included the debate over reclining your seat on a flight and how much you should chat with other passengers on the plane. Watch the video above to see the rest of the group’s conversation.
