Events to help you get in a spring mood happen this weekend

There’s also ice skating if you prefer winter

A sure sign that winter is coming to an end is the closing of the ice skating rink at Campus Martius Park in Downtown Detroit. Skaters will have one last chance to lace up before the rink closes Sunday for the season. Hours are Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Skate rentals are available.

An event to get you ready for the upcoming season is The Cranbrook Spring Festival. The event will help your creativity bloom with fun activities like bracelet making, pop-art flower making, karaoke, squeegee painting, and more. The fest take place Saturday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Cranbrook Art Museum, 39221 Woodward in Bloomfield.

In Armada there’s a party with a destination vibe. The North, South, West party offers different themes all under one roof. Depending on the region you want to visit, the north gives a fireside and ice vibe, while a tropical getaway greets you in the south. In the west, guests can saddle up on the mechanical bull and line dance. The party happens on Saturday, 4 p.m. till 10 p.m. at Blakes Orchard and Cider Mill.

Lastly, as we look forward to Fat Tuesday next week, get ready for a Paczki Day Party. The event which is for the grown ups, features live music, polish dishes, paczki inspired cocktails and more. The party is happening Saturday from 10a.m. till 7p.m. at Detroit City Distillery at Eastern Market.
