Timothèe Chalamet wore it on the red carpet at the Oscars, and he’s not the only one hopping on the butter yellow fashion trend. Local 4 Lifestyle Editor Jon Jordan has some advice for how you can incorporate the style into your life and his suggestions go beyond clothes.
Jon explained that butter yellow refers to a shade of yellow that’s softer, lighter, and milkier.
“You have to combine it with the right kind of colors so that you don’t lose its impact,” Jon said. “The modern way to do this is with browns and with neutrals and greys, and you can also do pastels. I think it works better if they’re in the blue-green undertone family.”
Jon says that you can even incorporate butter yellow into your style with nail polish and eyeshadow. He also said that butter yellow is trending in home décor.
