This former SNL comedian is performing in Detroit tonight

He brought some laughs to Live In The D ahead of his show

He’s a stand-up comedian, actor and writer, who brought the laughs on Saturday Night Live for several years. Now he’s bringing that same energy to Detroit. Finesse Mitchell is joining comedian Luenell for an evening of laughs, Friday, April 11.

He stopped by “Live in the D” to chat about what people can expect at the show. He also reminisced about his time on SNL.

“Me and Kenan Thompson started Saturday Night Live together over 20 years ago,” Mitchell said. He said the show took his career to another level and taught him a lot about the business.

Detroiter’s will get the chance to see his talents live in action. Mitchell said he doesn’t have an act for the show, but he “has an act,” - in other words, he knows what he’s going to say, but does not know in what order. This type of improvisation comes from 27-years in the business, he said.

The show tonight starts at 8p.m. at the Sound Board at Motor City Casino. Tickets are still available.
