Man found dead in vacant Detroit house 2 years ago still unidentified

DETROIT – A man found dead in a vacant house in Detroit two years ago still has not been identified.

The man’s remains were found on May 27, 2021. He was not recognizable due to insect or animal activity.

Investigators believe he was between 21 to 50 years old.

He was wearing a dark shirt, tan cargo pants, and dark gym shoes. A gray sweater and a dark tan cargo coat were found near the body.

The remains have not been compared to any missing persons in the NamUs system.
