Family seeks justice 13 years after Detroit man found murdered in apartment; $2,500 reward offered

DETROIT – The family of a man who was found dead in his apartment 13 years ago is asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Charles Eric McGlown, also known as “Famous,” was 39 years old when he was found dead in his Detroit apartment.

McGlown was found “fatally wounded” inside his apartment at 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, in the 2500 block of West McNichols Street in Detroit, according to Crime Stoppers.

McGlown was found laying face down on the couch and was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said they did not find signs of forced entry.

McGlown is described as a “very loving and humble man who will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.”

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in the murder.
