Man sentenced in string of Macomb County home invasions, burglaries

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A man has been sentenced to 7-15 years for his role in a string of Macomb County home invasions in 2023.

Antonio Barry and James Long Jr. were arrested July 26, 2023 for allegedly burglarizing several homes across multiple Metro Detroit counties. Long pled guilty in February 2024 to three counts of second-degree home invasion. Barry’s case is ongoing.

Warren police said the two would dress as contractors wearing construction work vests and would knock on the doors of houses to determine if people were home. They are suspected to be connected to at least six burglaries in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties.

Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Edward Servitto sentenced Long Wednesday, April 3, to 86 months to 15 years for his guilty plea.
