2 men charged after gun, fentanyl, crack cocaine found in Macomb County

WARREN, Mich. – Two men have been charged after a gun, fentanyl, and crack cocaine were found in Macomb County.

Officials said they searched a building in Warren on April 16, 2024, and found 105 grams of fentanyl, four grams of crack cocaine, a black Taurus 9 mm handgun, $3,831 in cash, scales, and packaging material.

A Dodge Charger was also seized.

James Freeman, 41, of Lincoln Park, and Christopher Hash, 42, of Warren, were taken into custody. They’re accused of distributing drugs throughout Macomb County.

They were taken to the Macomb County Jail.

Freeman was charged with:

  • Delivery/manufacturing of 50-499 grams of a controlled substance -- a 20-year felony.
  • Possession of less than 25 grams of controlled substances -- a four-year felony.
  • Felony firearm violation -- a two-year felony.

Hash was charged with delivery/manufacturing of 50-499 grams of a controlled substance.

They were arraigned at Warren District Court and given $25,000 bonds, no 10%, cash/surety.
