Wayne County clerk blocks Adam Hollier from August primary ballot

Paid signature gatherers once again put a candidate in peril

Bad petitions struck again as a top candidate for Detroit’s 13th Congressional District is disqualified from the ballot.

Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett ruled Tuesday (May 21) that former state Senator Adam Hollier will not be on the August primary ballot.

Last week, Local 4 reported that Hollier did not submit enough valid signatures to meet the ballot requirement.

He was considered the biggest threat to incumbent Shri Thanedar’s re-election bid in Detroit’s 13th congressional district.
