MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office is hosting a telephone town hall meeting to help parents learn about child support and the justice system.

The child support telephone town hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The event will be hosted by Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido and Family Division Unit Chief Kymberly Shinneman.

Lucido and Shinneman plan to discuss topics aimed at helping families who are facing child support issues. They’ll go over how to initiate a child support case, how to collect owed child support, and guidance on how to get back on track with owed child support.

“We understand that navigating child support can be challenging, and our goal is to provide clear, accessible information to help families manage these important responsibilities,” Lucido said. “This Child Support Telephone Town Hall is a perfect opportunity for residents to ask questions directly and get the support they need.”

There will be an opportunity for those who attend to ask questions.

Anyone interested in joining the telephone town hall can register at macombgov.org/childsupport.
