67 ice cream products recalled due to possible listeria contamination

A total of 67 different ice cream products have been recalled due to the possibility of a listeria contamination.

Totally Cool, Inc. of Owings Mills, Maryland, issued a recall for multiple brands of ice cream. They could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children or vulnerable adults.

Short-term symptoms include fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women could experience miscarriages and stillbirths.

These products were distributed nationally. You can identify them by comparing the date and plant information below.

So far, no illnesses have been reported.

Anyone who owns a recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Call 410-363- 7801 or email regulatory@totallycoolicecream.com between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with questions.
