SANDUSKY, Ohio – While Cedar Point is in the middle of HalloWeekends, there is something else happening at the park.
The amusement park is selling pieces of the Maverick coaster—not the current one. When Maverick was originally built, an extra section was later replaced. So, there were hundreds of track slices sitting around and collecting dust.
The 390 pieces come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Cedar Point’s vice president. Prices are between $300 and $350. Interested buyers can only purchase a piece by heading to Cedar Point. For more information on getting a piece of the roller coaster’s history, visit the park’s website.
