Arrest made in connection to man found shot in Waterford movie theater parking lot

WATERFORD, Mich. – A West Bloomfield man was arrested Friday in connection to a man found in a Waterford movie theater parking lot with a gunshot wound.

Officials previously reported a body was found but later said a 28-year-old man was found at the MJR movie theater on M-59 near Williams Lake at around 11:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to a local hospital.

Detectives identified a suspect during the homicide investigation and arrested a 24-year-old man from West Bloomfield.

Police said this was not a random act, and the investigation is ongoing.
