CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A popular chicken restaurant chain is set to open its newest location in Macomb County.
Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken will open its latest Southeast Michigan restaurant in Clinton Township on Thursday, Nov. 21. The new location sits at 41501 Garfield Road, about halfway between 18 Mile and Canal roads.
The grand-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m. and the first 100 guests will be treated to a free two-piece chicken breast meal.
There will be giveaways and other events throughout the opening day.
The upcoming Clinton Township restaurant is Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken’s fourth Metro Detroit location. It’s part of a large expansion that aims to bring 16 restaurants to the area.
Lee’s, founded in 1966 by the nephew of KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders, has more than 130 locations in the U.S., mostly in the Midwest.
