Husband, Darrien Harris, 33, has been charged with allegedly shooting his wife’s ex while he was visiting his son at their home in Warren.
The alleged shooting occurred on Thursday (Nov. 28) when the victim visited Harris' residence to deliver a gift to his son.

Officials say a verbal altercation ensued between Harris and the child’s father, who was shot while getting into his vehicle to leave.
Police said the child’s father is expected to recover.
The 33-year-old man was charged with assault with intent to murder, a life felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a five-year felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a five-year, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, a five-year felony and three counts of felony firearm, two-year felonies.
Harris was also charged as a habitual second offender, which may increase the penalties.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Harris was charged in 37th Warren District Court, where bond was set at $750,000 cash/surety.
If he is released, Harris is to wear a GPS tether and have no contact with any witnesses.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12, at 8:30 a.m., and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 19, at 8:30 a.m.
