WARREN, Mich. – Warren police provided an update on the chemotherapy treatments for a retired K-9 officer.
Officer Kantor was diagnosed with cancerous lymphoma after his retired in August. But thanks to donations from the community, he has completed 15 of 25 weeks of intensive chemotherapy.

Happy Holiday’s from K9 Kantor-
The Warren Police Department is thrilled to share some wonderful news about our retired K9 Officer Kantor! Despite facing a challenging diagnosis of cancerous lymphoma shortly after his retirement in August, Kantor has shown incredible strength and resilience.
Thanks to the outpouring of love, support, prayers, and generous donations from our amazing community, Kantor has successfully completed 15 out of 25 weeks of intensive chemotherapy. His spirit remains strong and he is full of playful energy, just like the Kantor we grew to know and love. Officer Hofer and his family, are continuing to give Kantor all of the love and support he needs.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has contributed to Kantor’s fight against cancer. Your kindness has not only helped Kantor physically but has also uplifted the spirits of the entire Warren Police Department. Knowing that so many people are rooting for Kantor is a heartwarming display of community support for our officers. From the bottom of our hearts and paws, thank you for being so wonderful and supportive. We cannot wait to celebrate Kantor’s victory over cancer!
