DETROIT – A 26-year-old man was sentenced to prison for his role in a Metro Detroit firearm trafficking ring.

Bishop Allen reportedly was part of a group of people who purchased weapons for a buyer who was unable to legally purchase the weapons themselves or does not want their name associated with the original purchase.

Officials said the scheme started in November of 2020 and continued through March 2021. According to authorities, Chauncey Williams, Antonio Jackson, and Mike Chahoua used stolen credit cards to buy guns online and then enlisted others to retrieve them.

Allen was one of the “straw purchasers,” who reportedly lied on the required ATF paperwork and said they were the actual purchasers of the firearms.

Allen was sentenced Thursday, Dec. 5, to two years and six months behind bars.

The leaders of the ring -- Chahoua, Jackson and Williams -- were convicted to a collective 18 years behind bars for the scheme.
