DETROIT – A Detroit man was arrested for having several thousands of images and videos of child sexually explicit content, according to authorities.
The investigation began on Oct. 18, 2024, after the FBI received a tip that a man was sending child pornography through Instagram.

On Oct. 31, 2024, a subpoena was served to T-Mobile to identify whose phone number was associated with the Instagram account. The man was identified as Davion Fleming of Detroit.
Around the same time, another subpoena was served to Meta, Inc. for information on the Instagram account. IP address login information was provided, as well as the email associated with the account.
On Dec. 9, investigators tracked the IP address to a home in Detroit. The Instagram account was logged into at the same Detroit home on multiple occasions.
Investigators interview suspect
Fleming’s home was searched on Dec. 9, 2024, and was interviewed by investigators.
He told authorities he frequently received and distributed child pornography using Telegram, a social media chat platform.
He said he would “test the water” by asking the person if they wanted to see a sexually explicit video involving a child. If they agreed, he would share videos of young girls engaged in sexual acts. Fleming denied creating the video but admitted to distributing it.
Fleming also said he would often talk to children on Instagram and request nude images from them. On multiple occasions, he would get nude images from children as young as 13 years old. He reportedly kept the images, but many were stored within the Instagram chats.
He allegedly chatted and distributed child pornography multiple times a week, including within the past week.
He reportedly admitted to authorities that he used his Instagram account to obtain nude images of children and distributed them to multiple chats on Telegram.
Thousands of child sexually explicit material found
Following Fleming’s interview, investigators searched his phone. There, they found multiple chats on Telegram where he told police he was requesting and distributing nude images of children.
According to investigators, there were about several thousand images and videos of child sexually explicit images and videos stored in his phone.
Fleming faces multiple charges of distribution and possession of child pornography.
