MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – A man was arrested after breaking into a pawn shop in Flat Rock and stealing several items on Thursday.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at a pawn shop in Berlin Township on Dec. 5, 2024. When they arrived, they saw the front door glass shattered and learned several items were stolen from the business.

After reviewing surveillance footage from a nearby business, detectives were able to identify the suspect—a 27-year-old man from Flat Rock.
On Dec. 9, 2024, detectives found the man in Monroe and arrested him. During the arrest, suspected stolen property from the break-in was recovered.
The man is being held at the Monroe County Jail pending formal charges from the prosecutor’s office.
