DEARBORN, Mich. – A 36-year-old Dearborn man is facing possible life in prison after reportedly stabbing his mother to death.
According to authorities, police received 911 calls regarding domestic violence on Sunday, Dec. 15, at a home on Reuter Street. Officers reportedly arrived at the scene within three minutes of the call and attempted to give life-saving aid to 70-year-old Jamila Alwan, who was badly injured with stab wounds.
She died at the scene.
Abrahim Alfagieh was charged Tuesday, Dec. 17, with first-degree murder. If convicted, he faces the possibility of spending life behind bars.
