He parked his car on the northbound service drive near 8 Mile, where Detroit police saw the bullet holes on the car.

Police said the suspect vehicle left the freeway at Grand River.

Northbound M-59 was shut down, with traffic being ramped off at I-96 as police investigated the shooting.

According to police, the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident.

“This appears to be another senseless incident where someone used a firearm to settle a driving dispute. We are very fortunate that no one was struck by one of these bullets,” said F/Lt Mike Shaw. “We appreciate the multiple witnesses that have reached out to us with information on this investigation. It is our hope that the suspect will reach out to us as well.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Michigan State Police at 855- MICH TIP or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK UP.
