PORT HURON, Mich. – Authorities seized more than a thousand pounds of cocaine in Port Huron.
It happened at about 2 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.

According to authorities, officers with Customs and Border Protection were conducting an inspection on a semi truck leaving Michigan that was supposed to have 25 pallets of aluminum cans, but actually only had four pallets.
Officials said the pallets were stacked against the rear gate with suitcases, luggage and cardboard boxes placed between and behind the pallets.
Officials said the trailer had 13 cardboard boxes, five suitcases and four bags, which contained bricks of cocaine. In total, authorities reportedly seized 397 bricks of cocaine that had a combined weight of 483.79 kilograms.
The driver -- Abhishek Jain -- and the co-driver -- Satwant Singh Kaler -- were taken into custody and lodged at the St. Clair County Jail.
