WARREN, Mich. – Warren police took some time to thank a local family-owned business for supporting their K9 unit.

The Pet Beastro has been supporting the Warren Police Department K9 Unit for several years. Dr. Jill Tack and her team have been donating all the food and supplements needed to keep the six Warren K9s healthy and happy at no cost to the department.

In 2024, the police department said the six K9 officers were responsible for seizing 172 kilograms of cocaine, nearly 5 kilograms of heroin, 32 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 10 kilograms of fentanyl. Additionally, they helped recover nearly $500,000 in cash from narcotic transactions.

On Dec. 23, 2024, Police Commissioner Hawkins, Mayor Lori M. Stone, and members of the K9 Unit went to thank Dr. Tack and her team.
