MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A dispatcher helped a couple in Macomb County deliver their baby safely early Sunday morning.
You can listen to the audio recording at the end of this article.
A man called 911 just after 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2024, saying his pregnant wife’s water had broken and her contractions were one minute apart.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office released the 911 call recording of Dispatcher Cidnee Schramm helping the husband deliver the baby and stimulate the baby’s breathing after the birth. She stayed on the phone with the couple until crews from the Clinton Township Fire Department arrived at the scene.
“You guys did a fantastic job,” said Schramm to the parents once the baby’s cry can be heard over the call.
The sheriff’s office reports the mother and baby are both doing well. Congratulations to the family on the newest addition!
