Multiple major wildfires still rage across the Los Angeles area. Residents are anxious to return to their decimated neighborhoods as police patrol the streets for looters.
That is, as property loss tallies reach a historic level. Fire crews did see better conditions Friday (Jan. 10) than in days past.
There was less wind and higher humidity, but this was certainly an uphill battle.
At this hour, approximately 10,000 structures have been burned, and 150,000 people have been forced from their homes. So far, close to 40,000 acres have been scorched.
Right now, 11 people are confirmed dead, but fire officials say that number is also expected to grow.
