Detroit Auto Show begins Saturday -- Everything you need to know

DETROIT – The 2025 Detroit Auto Show begins Saturday, Jan. 11.

The annual automotive event showcases emerging technologies in vehicles and features brand-defining vehicles, product ride-and-drives and dynamic experiential activations.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Public Show

The auto show runs from Jan. 11 to Jan. 20, 2025.

  • Saturday, Jan. 11: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 12: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Monday, Jan. 13: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 14: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 15: 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 16: 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 17: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 18: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Monday, Jan. 20: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

There will be over 20 attractions, events and shows all about vehicles and the technology behind them. The auto show will also debut Hollywood’s most iconic cars and a collection of Motor City classics.

The Gallery returns

The ultra-luxury and exotic vehicle collection showcases 50 automobiles representing 12 brands.

Racing Day returns

Racing Day presented by the Detroit Grand Prix returns on Jan. 17, featuring the top stars of motorsports, along with world-class race cars and one of the most historic trophies in sports history. Drivers in attendance include Josef Newgarden, David Malukas, Kyffin Simpson, Nolan Allaer and Callum Hedge.

The Atrium area at Huntington Place, adjacent to the Detroit River, will be open and accessible to fans for free, and this area will feature Racing Day activities throughout the day on Jan. 17.

Industry Days: Jan. 15 & 16

Industry Days on Jan. 15 and Jan. 16 will feature exclusive industry access hours and three core areas of programming—Mobility Global Forum, AutoMobili-D technology showcase, and Future Leaders Forum Presented by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification.

Tickets cost $40 per person and can be purchased here.

Charity Preview: Jan. 10

The Motor City signature event raised over $125 million for children’s charities in Southeastern Michigan since 1976, including more than $100 million over the past 25 years.

The preview begins at 5 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2025. Local 4 will be there; stream it here.

Flo Rida will headline the Charity Preview.
