Detroit restaurant debuts Lions-themed pizza, drinks ahead of playoff game against Commanders

$1 donated to Detroit Lions Foundation with every themed food, drink sold

'Honolulu Blue' Pizza (Mootz Pizzeria + Bar)

DETROIT – A Detroit pizzeria and bar is “All In” ahead of the game Saturday, where the Detroit Lions will host the Washington Commanders in the NFL Divisional Round playoffs.

Mootz Pizzeria + Bar, which is about a 10-minute walk away from Ford Field, debuted two Honolulu Blue pizzas and Lions-themed cocktails throughout the playoffs.

There’s an option to have the Honolulu Blue Pizza—which features NYC pizza sauce, “mootzarella,” ham, bacon and blue-dyed pineapple—and the Spicy Honolulu Blue Pizza—which has the same ingredients as the original Honolulu Blue Pizza, but also includes fire chicken, jalapenos, banana peppers, red onion and fire BBQ sauce.

For cocktails, Mootz features the following:

  • Montgomery Manhattan
  • Amon-Ra Aperol Spritz
  • Victory Monday Espresso Tini
  • Bates Bellini
  • Kneecap Sour Shot

The business said for every 14″ Honolulu Blue pizza and featured cocktail sold, Mootz will donate $1 to the Detroit Lions Foundation.
